Miura lab is now in CT
We recently moved to UConn Health in the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences.
The Miura lab studies two types of RNAs- long 3’UTR isoforms and circRNAs. Thousands of these RNAs exist in the brains of many organisms, including humans. One focus of the group is to uncover functions for such transcripts in the nervous system. The group uses Drosophila and cultured mammalian neurons as model systems and employs high-throughput sequencing and CRISPR genome editing in our research.
